April 2026 President's Message
An Invitation from the President
As you read this, we’re deep in planning the 2026 APA-WI Annual Conference. And I know we gather once a year – but even then, many of us don’t get the chance to really know each other beyond titles, organizations, or the edges of conversation between sessions.
Don’t worry - we’re building in plenty of opportunities for connection at the APA-WI Conference in Madison this October. But until then, I want to try something. Something super simple. Not a program. Not a requirement. Just an invitation.
One conversation.
If you’re interested, I’ll match you with another APA-WI member somewhere in Wisconsin – someone you might not know (or maybe you do) – and ask you to find 30-45 minutes to talk with each other.
No agenda. No presentation. Just a chance to hear how someone else found their way, what they’re carrying, and how they enter their days. I’ll provide a few prompts – but you don’t have to use them.
You don’t have to follow up. You don’t have to stay connected. But you might.
If you’ll join me in being a part of this, USE THIS SHORT FORM TO OPT IN. I’ll send out matches in a few weeks.
In a profession so focused on shaping places, I hope you’ll join me in shaping something else – how we relate to each other in a reminder that we’re part of something shared.
